Panel
A panel is the aggregation of sample households for continuous TV audience measurement. CSM panels are recruited from households interviewed at in the establishment survey by PPS multistage cluster sampling. There are two methods of data collection including, diary panels and PeopleMeter panels. According to the areas being investigated the panels are divided into city panels, provincial panels and the national panel. The set up and turnover of the panel is based on the results of the establishment surveys. Quota sampling is based on several primary guidelines. For diary panels the panel turns over at the rate of 2% every week. PeopleMeter panel do not need periodic panel turnover, but they are updated acc ording to the quota from Establishment Surveys regularly. CSM has an integrated quality control system which will ensure the data checking of each panel. At the same time, according to industry standards, CSM will strengthen the training and the communication with sample households to ensure their effective cooperation.
